Digital Interclub Competition 2014

Each year Greater Lynn participates in a four-screen digital competition with three other clubs in Eastern Massachusetts. The involved clubs are Greater Lynn, Merrimack Valley, Gateway and Stony Brook.

This year Greater Lynn will be hosting the competition at GLPA Headquarters on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 7 PM. There are 24 categories and each club submits an image for each category that best represents that category. On the evening of the competition, the four images are projected at the same time on four screens, and a guest judge will order the images from 1st to 4th with 1st place receiving 1 point. The club with the fewest points at the end of the competition wins. Unfortunately last year Greater Lynn finished last. We hope to do better this year. Please send in your images for each of the categories to be considered on the selection nights.

Most importantly, please come to the competition on May 2nd and support the club. Last year’s competition was held at Merrimack Valley and their hall was full of club members who came down to give their club their support. Light refreshments of munchies, deserts, coffee and cold drinks will be served. We hope to see you there!!

Images for the 2014 competition must have been taken after April 2012. File requirements are the same as our monthly digital competition. Members are asked to recheck the metadata before submitting the images. Images are now being collected for the pre-competition selection night. Please send images as an attachment to Amy Musinsky at amusins@gmail.com. The chairman will acknowledge the email to confirm receipt of your images. If you do not receive a response within 24 hours, please resend the email.

Since many of the categories are the same as those from the Smackdown, many of the top images from that competition are open for consideration as well. The categories with an asterisk (*) next to them mean they will also be used in the Smackdown Competition.

The initial selection night is Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Start taking images now for consideration for this fun competition.

Members are asked not to submit more than two images per category per maker. Pick your best images to submit.
