Print Gallery Exhibits

Our members have the opportunity to exhibit their prints in several local venues throughout the year. Our three ongoing exhibits at NSMC Union Hospital, 500 Lynnfield St., Lynn (Rte 129) are a Community Service project. Union Hospital is the Lynn Campus of the North Shore Medical Center. Prints are changed at varying intervals depending on the location of the exhibit.

During this year a new medical facility will be built at the hospital site but it will not be a hospital. It should be opening in the spring of 2020. We don't expect to be exhibiting there but will continue to do so in the hospital until the early part of 2020.

Our other main location for exhibiting prints is at The Gallery at AdviniaCare in Salem (formerly Grosvenor Park Gallery) in Vinnin Square, on the Swampscott/Marblehead/Salem line. This is an Association month-long exhibit and a public opening is held usually on the first weekend of the exhibit. In past showings, prints were sold. Refreshments are served. Our 2020 exhibit opens on March 1, 2020.

Members are encouraged to exhibit their work in any of these exhibits.

Club Exhibit
The Gallery at Advinia Care in Salem (formerly Grosvenor Park Gallery)
7 Loring Hills Ave., Salem (Vinnin Square)

This is a beautiful gallery in the Advinia Health Center. The requirements for this exhibit are a max of 2 framed prints with a wire across the back. The max size is 20x24 inches. You will also have an opportunity to sell your prints. Images are needed by early January to create the postcard and poster for publicity. The prints themselves are due the end of February.

Submitting framed prints for the Advinia (formerly Grosvenor) exhibit

Marilyn and Rick Cloran collect the framed prints for the club exhibits at the club and transport them to the exhibit location and back. Because of this, the prints must be packaged so as not to get damaged. The preferred packaging is in a zipped portfolio at least 20x26 inches which can hold at least two framed prints. These portfolios may be available at AC Moore’s or Ocean St. Job Lots at a reasonable price when there is a sale or coupon available. Otherwise prints should be securely wrapped in a box. Pieces of bubble wrap taped together are not suitable as they are very difficult to use when the prints are repackaged for the return trip. Each print must have your name on it and each package of prints on the outside as well.

The prints will be collected at the February 24, 2020 meeting.

They may also be brought directly to the Gallery on Friday, February 28 between 9 and 10 am. If done they must be picked up there on Thursday, March 26, 2019 from 4-5 pm. This is a great help to us if you can bring your own prints to the gallery and pick them up there. Otherwise pick them up at the club on March 30, 2020.
