"NECCC Interclub Competition"

Monday, February 27, 7:30 PM
We will be hosting the New England Camera Club Council-NECCC- Winter projected digital interclub competition on Monday, February 27, 2017. This is a business meeting night and the judging will start after the business meeting concludes.
GLPA competes in Class A in both pictorial and nature digital interclub competitions within NECCC. We will be judging both sections of both categories on this evening. The classes are judged separately. As a result there will be two pictorial judging’s -no restriction on subject matter- and two nature judging’s, Pictorial and Nature for Class B followed by Pictorial and Nature for Class A. The Nature images must comply with the PSA nature definition for open –general- nature images. Our judges for the night will be Dan Charbonnet, HonNEC, EPSA, MNEC a member of GLPA, Mike DiStefano, HonNEC of Rhode Island and Sarah Musumeci, MNEC of the Merrimack Valley Camera Club.
Each club may submit up to four images, each by a separate maker, in both pictorial and or nature. The images are arranged in rounds. The three judges will each score from three to nine points for each image yielding a scoring range of nine to twenty-seven. NECCC has some specific scoring suggestions for judges to spread the range of scores from fifteen to twenty-seven and to minimize ties to the extent possible. We'll go into those more on the night of the competition. NECCC does not break ties but does eliminate the next lower award or awards in the event of ties for first or second place. All awards are assigned by the NECCC interclub directors and will not be announced the night of the competition.
