"PSA Interclub Competition: Projected Image Division"

We will be hosting the January interclub competition for Class B of PSA’s -Photographic Society of America,- PID-Projected Image- Division after the business meeting in January. PID is PSA’s largest division. It sponsors interclub competitions for member clubs from around the world at five different levels -Classes A through E. Greater Lynn competes in Class A, which is the top class for these competitions. Because of that we are not allowed to host the competition for the class we compete in.

Class B contained 22 clubs last season. Seven were from outside the US. Our local neighbor, Merrimack Valley, competes in this class. Each club is allowed to submit 6 images. Each image must be by a different maker. The subject matter is ‘open’ so pretty much anything goes. Nature is always present as are portraits, scenics, and creative images. We use three judges. The scoring will run from 6 to 15, much the same as we do for our regular monthly competitions. This is scoring only with no commentary by the judges.

Check out this link to see the ‘Best of the Best’ video of the winning images from all of the classes for the 2016-2017 competition season. Give yourself time as it runs for nearly 20 minutes. https://psa-photo.org/index.php?2016-17-pid-interclub-best-of-the-best

You can also go to the PID interclub page https://psa-photo.org/index.php?pid-interclub-competition and click on any of the competition ‘Round’ galleries to see all of the award and HM images from all of the classes for that competition. This can be a great place to pick up some inspiration for a new image you may have been thinking about.

Join us on Monday January 29, 2018 and see what other PSA clubs from around the world are doing.
