"Pictures to Paintings"

Monday, October 7, 7:30 PM

Our opening program for October is by a good friend of Greater Lynn, Sarah Musumeci, MNEC who has judged and presented here on many occasions. She will teach you how to turn your images into a totally different feeling when seen.

After you have completed your standard Photoshop techniques on your favorite image, learn how to take another giant step to enhance your picture by adding oil, water color, and many other painting techniques. Learn how to get the right amount of paint onto the surface, blend it, mix colors, smooth colors, add texture and much more. These techniques work on any image but are lovely when used on travel, landscape and seascape images.

Sarah is a member of the Merrimack Valley Camera Club. She has been taking photos for most of her life, but in the last ten years her passion has been architectural, travel and portrait photography. She began taking interior photographs for small Bed and Breakfasts in New England, but soon advanced to major hotels in Boston and NYC. Having had thirteen magazine covers, she has had much experience in the editorial world.

She has given presentations at many New England camera clubs, New England Camera Club Council Conferences, Photographic Society of America Conferences and has been a Portfolio/Image Reviewer at the Conference for eight years. A highly talented and sought-after judge, she has judged throughout New England on the local camera club level, over twenty PSA and NECCC interclub competitions and several International Exhibitions in both projected images and prints.

She photographed and produced two NECCC conference videos posted on the NECCC website, Facebook and YouTube. She has joined the NECCC Board of Directors as VP in charge of youth services.
