GLPA Schedule
For the upcoming 2024-2025 season, hand sanitizers will be available at the club. We will continue to use the ceiling UVC lights for disinfecting after each use of the club as well as having the air purifying system on 24/7.

Greater Lynn meets every Monday from September through May. We have a variety of programs each week. Individual write-ups on each of these kinds of programs can be found on the navigation bar above. Summaries of the kinds of programs we have are below.
The current schedule is listed by dates in the column to the left on this page. It can also be found on the Calendar in the navigation bar above. Links to details about past programs can be found in the right column.
The first week of the month is generally an invited speaker who gives a teaching program or a showcase program. The second week of the month is our monthly print competition. The third week of the month is the monthly projected image competition. (A five week month's schedule will have another speaker on the second week of the month.) The other weeks are a variety of programs from other teaching programs, to the member mini show, member showcase, one shot, interclub competitions, and behind the images.
In addition to the regular Monday meetings, we also have events on other nights. We have several specialized groups that meet on various other nights of the week approximately once a month. Groups for this season will be: Fundamentals Photo Group, Creative Group, Digital Group, Drone Group, Landscape Group, Nature Group, Print Group, and SmartPhone Group (Zoom only as the leader lives in Colorado). In addition to this, we have Photo Ops sessions with various still life setups, creative setups and animal models that meet on a weekend day twice a year. We also have Model sessions with six female models which take place on two Sundays a year. Both the Photo Ops sessions and Model sessions are open to the public for a small donation.
The club actively participates in various interclub competitions throughout the season. Projected image entries composed of members work are sent to four pictorial and three nature competitions sponsored by the Photographic Society of America (PSA). We also compete in B&W and color print competitions. These are international in scope. Projected images (pictorial and nature) are sent to three competitions sponsored by the New England Camera Club Council (NECCC). These are regional in scope. The club also participates in an annual invitational competition such as the NECCC individual print competition, a regional print competition.
The Model committee conducts various Sunday model sessions at the club.
We normally offer a one-day basic Photo Course and workshops throughout the year.
We usually run several organized (formal) field trips throughout the year to various locations which have covered re-enactments, sunrises, lighthouses, fall foliage, Boston at night, and any place a group can photograph and have fun. Usually a meal is enjoyed after the trip.
New this year, we will also be running unorganized (informal) field trips in the form of MeetUp groups where members will be notified of such and will meet at a designated location.
We have a holiday celebration each year and in June our annual awards celebration. In addition, we normally have several themed Saturday night socials throughout the year including our famed Halloween party each October.
Members have the opportunity to exhibit prints of their work at a variety of gallery settings sponsored by the Club. In addition to this, the members' prints are exhibited in the club hall accented by track lighting.
Our membership also participates in several community projects each year such as food drives, photographing charity events, offering shelter/halfway house families the opportuity to have their photographs taken, and restoring antique images for the Historical Society.
