"Special in Camera Effects"

Our programming for the third week of October will be another great technical teaching presentation brought to us by a “Nikon Legend Behind the Lens” and of the top professionals in the country, Tony Sweet of Maryland. This presentation is meant to teach you what you can do to be creative without post processing. With all of the digital options to freely and creatively interpret our images, there are also creative in camera effects. This program will include examples of various effects done devoid of software, reliant of technique and a little creative vision.
We will cover and discuss the following-Multiple Exposures-Swipes-HDR-Focus Stacking-Infrared-Color IR-Light Painting-Panoramics and Long Exposures. Questions will be encouraged throughout the presentation.

After successful careers as a jazz musician/ educator, and professional magician, our speaker settled on photography as his chosen means for personal expression. Beginning as a film photographer, he has become facile in image editing software and plug-ins and is an in-demand speaker throughout the United States and Canada on creativity in the digital age. Tony and his partner Susan Milestone conduct Visual Artistry photography location workshops in the United States, Canada, and Iceland, as well as an annual Visual Artistry Creativity Seminar series. A staff instructor on betterphoto.com, a world leader in online photography instruction, Tony also maintains an active speaking schedule to photography organizations, industry trade shows and at Professional Photographers Association schools across the continental United States and Canada. His photography is published worldwide in every medium and is represented by Getty Images. His iPhone photography is represented by Aurora Photos Tony’s images are also used by Nikon, MacPhun, Singh Ray, Alien Skin, Topaz, Lensbaby and others for national ad campaigns.

Tony has authored five books on the art of photography: Fine Art Nature Photography; Fine Art Flower Photography; Fine Art Nature Photography: Water, Ice, Fog; Fine Art Digital Photography and HDR Photography. Along with his books, he has also collaborated with Masterphoto Workshops and has co-produced four photography DVDs: Visual Artistry; HDR Made Easy; Visual Literacy and Flower Photography Artistry; as well as iPhone.
