"Landscapes: Moments of Inspiration & Revelations"
by Mark Bowie, ANEC-MA
Monday, November 7, 7:30 PM

Mark has presented for us many times in the past and in this presentation he will share insights and techniques gleaned from moments of inspiration and revelation, that viewers can use to dramatically improve their own imagery. Concepts are illustrated with grand landscapes and more intimate scenes, taken day and night. Mark will share the thought processes and field craft, with lessons in the ‘Art of Seeing’, compositional choices, shooting in special weather and light, using light and shadow for depth and drama, shooting video and time-lapse, and processing techniques that help images shine.

Our speaker is well known to us and is a professional nature photographer, writer, teacher and much sought-after public speaker. He has produced three coffee table books in his native Adirondacks and his work has been published internationally in books, magazines, calendars and posters, and in advertising media. He is a specialist in night photography and has produced two e-books on the subject-The Light of Midnight-Photographing the Landscape at Night and After Midnight-Night Photography by Example. He has also produced one on his photographic journey-Finding November. He recently released a new instructional video-Multiple Exposures for Maximum Landscapes, in which he demonstrates how to shoot and process multiple exposures to produce panoramas, HCR’s, layer masked and focus stacked images. He is a staff instructor for the Adirondack Photography Institute-ADKPI and leads photography workshops and seminars for camera clubs and other groups.

Mark is traveling a distance to present for us so let’s fill the hall. This is one you won’t want to miss. For more on his work visit his newly re-launched websitewww.markbowie.com
