"The Power of Composition in Landscape, Wildlife, Nature & Travel Photography"
by Joe Brady-NY
Monday, February 19, 7:30 PM
This presentation is a discussion about the importance of composition in photography and how it affects the experience of the viewer. It will explore the choices we make to create images that draw you in and cause you to linger in the photo - and why. Topics will include what to look for when out in the field, how to see what to include or eliminate in the scene, and how small movements have a big impact on the success of an image.
To fully understand the process, we will take a look at some image editing explorations in both Lightroom and Photoshop to see what adjustments and enhancement can be made to make a better photograph. Processing topics will include deciding on the shape and size of the final print, creative cropping, and shaping techniques to adjust a composition for better balance and flow.
This is a talk suitable for all, even those whose sole camera is their phone. It is about what elements make for better photos in general, and how anyone can create images that will make them smile.
