This presentation will be a selection of award winning photographs from AP Photographer Charles Krupa who is based out of New England and the Boston area. Charles will tell us the how- tos and whys of the images and what made them ready for publication and award winning. His program marker image on the GLPA home page is one of the most famous images of the Boston Marathon bombing which we all have etched in our minds to this day. Greater Lynn is so pleased he was able to fit us into his busy schedule of assignments to present his images and stories to us. This is one program you will not want to miss.

Our speaker is primarily a sports photographer for the Associated Press-AP, but he is also assigned to cover politics, breaking news and in depth stories of human interest.

For the past 30 years based in the Philadelphia and Boston bureaus, he has photographed eight Olympic Games, World Cup skiing, World Cup soccer, the World Series, the NBA Finals, the NCAA Finals, the Stanley Cup and four Super Bowls. Krupa was part of the AP team that won the Pulitzer Prize in 1999 for coverage of the President Clinton impeachment. His other major assignments include the Boston Marathon bombing, the 9-11 terrorist attacks on New York City, Hurricane Andrew and several presidential campaigns.
